Moonlight

Moonlight is a limited edition original lino print inspired by a Hans Christian Anderson story called ‘What the Moon Saw’. In the story the moon tells a tale of all he has seen to the narrator of the story.

This is a multi colour print using shades of blue that are applied to the linocut using narrow rollers to create a painterly effect and is limited to a print run of 6. The design has been carved into softcut linolium.

Description

Each lino print is printed using an oil based printing ink containing a selection of organic and earth pigments. It is printed on a Bockingford White (which is slightly off white), a smooth 300gsm paper made at St. Cuthbert’s Mill, Somerset. Each piece of fine quality paper is 230mmx 170mm. The printed area is 195x140mm including the pencil drawn signature and title and will fit in a frame with a mount which has a 8″x6″ aperture. The print is then tightly packaged with a heavy board in a compostable, biodegradable clear bag to keep it safe when posting. This print is not framed or mounted. Due to the nature of this type of printing, there are small differences which make each print a unique work of art. The print you purchase may not be the same edition number as the photograph.
